Summertime in the PNW is amazing, really it is. Our garden is living proof.
Photo on the left, fence just built to keep the critters out...photo on the right...after only 3 months of sunshine and a little rain.
We have pumpkins, potatoes, corn, mint, thyme, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zuchini, artichokes, snap peas, catnip, peppermint, chives, basil.....and next up on the planting list is carrots.
The tomatoes went crazy....there are about 15 on each sprig.
Fried green tomatoes anyone? They're SO delicious!
Or how about some stuffed squash blossoms? with fresh herbs and ricotta cheese?... I had those too for the first time ever by chef Soldi :) .....wow. It's fun to go grocery shopping in our back yard for food. And if you feel like pie for desert...theres mobs of blackberries across the street in front of the house to pick!
Island life, it's pretty sweet.
