Lots of bunting.
Yep, watch out! I'm sewing reckless with my boot off! These boots are not made for running (did I just say running?) I mean operating! a sewing pedal OR even a gas pedal...no joke, the dressing of one boot with five velcro straps takes for-ever to do! Wishing there really was such a thing as "silent velcro." Anyways, it's not so bad to be cooped up in my studio, I'm actually getting cozy and reacquainted with my machine. I oiled 'er up today.
a double sided, finished edge...
happy birthday bunting...
these are FUN! and SO easy to make. I played with sizes by making template out of recycled cardboard for cutting making them all double sided but leaving a handful with raw edges, which surprisingly my favorites are the multi fabric, raw edge hand made bias.
Some crafty ideas for using these I thought of while sewing...
- any holiday-using novelty prints
- welcome home baby
- classroom decor
- office party
- baby shower
- mother's day
- barbecue/patio party
- a get well bunting to cheer a hospital room
Those are just a few ideas I thought of while sewing today. I'm making a "Big Sister" bunting now...to get a little kiddo excited about the birth of her baby brother.
