it's kinda kitschy/vintage and the colors go with everything we'd already started in his room.
instead of a drapery rod we installed a tension cable, picked up all the parts at the hardware store for just a few dollars. Originally I intended to put grommets in the curtain header but I haven't found the right size and finish so I'm just using hook clips from Ikea, they work fine but I still left a little length on the panels in case I come across the grommets I want.
they match nicely with the robot canvas I made for Jacker's my first year at Artfest. :)
I think Arlin has the coolest bed ever. I wish they made a canopy for adult size beds cause I'd get one. We took his baby crib mattress and made a sitting area under his bunk with bookshelves. We sit under there every night and read our library books before bedtime.
Arlin has a few of my favorite Disney pieces from when I was a kid in his room. The one above his dressers my parents bought the year I was born. An original Mickey comic strip with editors pencil marks...funny how Mickey looks different these days.
artwork drawn by "Sissy" and Arlin's first pair of cowboy boots.
Arlin's first soccer trophy and team picture with his favorite Coach Josh.
Ikeas only greatest-EVER invention the toy storage station. Arlin have enough toys? nah....Everyone of these sliders is jam packed full of fun. I really don't know what we ever did before this purchase. I love having Ikea close by again.
N'...there you have it. A snap shot of jacker's world! This is a picture from when we watched the Blue Angels. He was more star struck by his popsicle than he was the ah-mazing jets flying right over our heads!
