Summertime in the PNW is amazing, really it is. Our garden is living proof. Photo on the left, fence just built to keep the critters out...photo on the right...after only 3 months of sunshine and a little rain. We have pumpkins, potatoes, corn, mint, thyme, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zuchini, artichokes, snap peas, catnip, peppermint, chives, basil.....and next up on the planting list is carrots. The tomatoes went crazy....there are about 15 on each sprig.  Fried green tomatoes anyone? They're SO delicious! Or how about some stuffed squash blossoms? with fresh herbs and ricotta cheese?... still can't get enough green. I just might know people by name at both Home Depot and Lowes. I need a manicure bad! But like that will ever happen, my poor hands. Peanuts?

First couple peanut shells I found in the front yard while gardening (actually let me rephrase that...while slaving away on the landscaping- providing a much needed facelift for Spring (I have raw hands to prove this slaving) Anyways...I figured the squirrels were responsible for the peanut shell littering. But the deeper I dig I am finding hundreds of peanut shells everywhere. Both sides of the yard, side of the house and in the front planters....
