meet, "Kitty"... Aww, I love her. what will I do with her? I have no clue. she's been on my drafting table all day... and about an hour ago I made her some cat glasses out of felt...I wanna make her a mask...like a Mardi Gras mask.... Do I have extra free time? No. Should I be working on a biz-zillion other projects? Yes... I have no excuse for creating her. I just had to. Kitty's all mine. P.S. Next project on my plate, is making Arlin Jack's Halloween costume, an "Ugly Doll".

Another custom onesie order (thank you Roxanne)...this one almost got the best of me. And then, I just went with it... Inspiration given to me, a wedding announcement designed for a couple now living in Texas...who love life and have found life's love. my interpretation... let's just say the design evolved from start to finish. I really wanted the typography in the design...I was willing to go abstract with the image blocks and stray a bit from the original colors but ...but I was determined to incorporate somehow the words "Love" and "Life" like they were on the announcement. use your imagination on their application. here's what I was thinking... add some pizazz to your noggin' ladies and babies. any part of your wardrobe, skirt, blouse or even your handbag. it's a hand sewn craft. no icky sticky glues. use buttons for the center... or embroider some french knots in a fun color. Do you like? I think they're fun. I even thought they'd be cool as a present topper...one that actually had one of these above uses after the pretty package was opened.

Sock Monkey!

Drum roll please...introducing;  Shipmate Brock Lee get it? Broccoli. One sock monkey ready for some serious lovin'... Brock Lee had various wardrobe possibilities before this debut, but this one just stuck...he's all ready for his trip to California. I think I'm gonna miss him hanging around in my studio. I ended up using different size pieces of wool/felt embroidering his eyes, then I hand stitched them on...thought this was the safest route considering his new owner might be pretty young.
